Henry Cavill takes on the role of Clark Kent, who as a young boy was transported to earth from Krypton, an advanced alien planet.Raised with the values of his adoptive earth parents, Clark feels alienated because of his unique super powers and struggles to find his own place in life. When earth is attached by General Zod (Michael Shannon), one of the few remaining Kyiptonians, Clark discovers his origins and embraces his destiny to become the hero known as "Superman," not only to protect his loved ones but to take his place as the world's last beacon of hope.
