When Keith and Aviva Siegel were taken hostage from Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7, 2023, those around Keith’s mother Gladys—then in her nineties and living with dementia—chose not to tell her. She died in December 2024 without knowing; Keith and Aviva have since returned home.
