It starts off with a random Robert Johnson scene of him selling his soul to the devil, and further devolves into nonsense. They establish the family is an ordinary family of 3, the dad is a farmer, there's a mom and the daughter wants to be just like her dad. Ok, I can work with that. The mom and daughter go to Kansas City for an event, but have to park in an isolated area. While on FT with the dad, the kidnapping occurs. Ok, still can work with the story. The dad's dad is sitting there when he sees his son distraught over what he just witnessed. He gives his son a pep talk, tells him to get his kid, and that he'll make some calls. Here is where the movie completely goes off the rails. It turns out he was a mercenary, and has a cache (one semiautomatic gun) of weapons and is "highly trained." He proceeds to KC, and IMMEDIATELY finds the area where the kidnapping occurred. There was coke-snorting dentist, a man with (I'll just say) a utilitarian instrument, stereotypical bad guys, unnecessary side plots, ridiculous dialogue. The story was all over the place, and I kept checking to see how much time was left.
