A cheerleading stunt gone wrong landed Steph (Rebel Wilson) in a coma. When she finally wakes up after 20 years, she's shocked to find out that she's now 37. Even so, she wants to return to Harding High School to finish out her school year. She's also ready to live out her high school dream: becoming prom queen.
However, she finds out that a lot of things have changed. There are no popular kids: everyone is treated equally. And social media, which she had never heard of, is the way to get popular.
