There were a lot of bad movies in 2023 so in comparison, this one wasn't that bad. However, it was so, so weird. The characters talk over each other and are so manic at the beginning that it was off putting. Also, the slow delivery of lines and the repetition of lines make it seem much longer than it is. It's not really about Leonard Bernstein, who according to this movie, was a really terrible person, but more about his long suffering wife. Great performance by Carey Mulligan.

The movie us basically about the long suffering wife. Respectful to whom I ask? It’s a 2 out if 5. I have no respect for this man after seeing this.

Don’t waste your time. Main theme here is chain smoking genius and his long suffering wife who dies of cancer (second hand smoke?), back story about predatory gay sex/love and feverous conducting. Too much black and white and too much smokey talky blather. I basically hated it. Painfully boring at the best of times. 2 Thumbs Down.

Contrived and intellectually dishonest, no matter how brilliant Lenny was as a conductor. I wish I never bothered but I thought If I pushed beyond my bias, I would be enlightened. No dice.

The music is spectacular and the acting is absolutely stellar! The story line is totally captivating & respectful. In my opinion, it is Academy awards worthy!
