Exceptional film based on an incredible true story. I would highly recommend this movie for your next night out.

This might not be an extraordinary film, but it is an important one. We owe it to Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson to learn their names and recognize their work.

What a wonderful film! Truth in its ugliness and in its beauty was dealt with ably by all the characters. The two hours flew by and I wished for more. I was amazed that big name actors gave way easily to allow for the main characters' stories. I loved it and would see it again and again!

Inspirational film about NASA maths inspired by true events, with winning performances across the board, and some sharp lines. The story, with racism kept in the background, may be unfamiliar to the general public, but serves as a valuable history lesson. Not a ground-breaking film, but a true feel-good movie that needed an extra spark.

As a women who studied Math at university in the 1960s, this movie was quite relevant to me. These women were definitely trail-blazers who did not get nearly enough (or any) credit for their contributions to the NASA programs. A great story that should not have been "hidden" for so long.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I'm old enough to remember watching NASA launches on television. So it was interesting to get a part of the background story through the lives of these three amazing women.

When an audience claps at the end of a movie you know that it has reached them and this one does on several levels. The movie includes story lines on racial prejudices, feminism, personal strength and facing daunting time driven challenges through teamwork. While racism was far worse than is presented here it smartly stops short of brutality to let the story focus on the capabilities of the three female leads. Solid direction, acting and writing throughout.

I really enjoyed this movie. The cast was great! It told a true story that I'm sure many people never knew about.

One of 2016's best. Brilliant. Touching. Car chase fans won't like it.

5 stars A real eye opener concerning the major problems of discrimination with women and color. I really enjoyed this movie.

This was an excellent movie! I loved the historical aspect and how it showed the extreme prejudice and racism that was rampant in the 1960's. I especially loved how the movie did not make the audience feel sympathy for any of the white males or females at NASA....it showed reality. It also showed how determination allowed these black women to rise above prejudice and get ahead in society.

This film is a "must see" about some little-known, but extremely important, behind the scenes activity surrounding the development of the U.S. space program. Perhaps there were racist and/or sexist reasons why this information was kept so hush-hush ....... up until now. The subject matter, and the performances of the actors, kept me engaged through the whole film. I highly recommend that everyone goes to see it.

This movie had the perfect balance of background stories on these extraordinary women and drama of the space program. The social issues of the day with segregation seem so long ago but it is still recent enough that there were sounds of disbelief at the treatment of people of colour. I loved the real photos of the actual mathematicians and engineers at the end of the movie!

It was a very inspiring and uplifting movie. There were many moments of laughter. I would recommend everyone to see this movie.

I really enjoyed the movie - and felt that the ladies (especially Octavia Spenser) did a fantastic job in portraying life as an intelligent colored woman in the 60's. Jim Parsons may have been a bit miscast, but he put in an admirable performance as did Kevin Costner. I would definitely recommend this movie (and have already done so to friends).

I thought it was an excellent movie. I had no knowledge of NASA & so I definitely learnt something.

I was very fortunate to get to see an advanced screening of 'Hidden Figures' the other day. It's a true story of the three negro women, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who, if it wasn't for them and their brilliant minds, astronaut John Glenn (the first American to orbit the Earth) would never have been able to make the trip and return to earth alive. It is a very well made movie with great acting, an engaging mix of drama and comedy and an eye opening story. I enjoyed it so much that it felt like the 2 hours just flew by and I actually wanted to see more! I recommend this movie with two thumbs way up!

Enjoyed the film, great acting, good storyline and a nice ending to see the real life characters. Gender equality has come a long way, but still has a long way to go!!!

It's a good biographical movie at a time when women especially black women were not truly acknowledged as counterparts - during segregation in the U.S. I applaud and respect all women who fought for their rights and dignity during difficult times of our history.

I gave the passes to my parents but they told me it was one of the best movies they had ever seen so I believe that is worthy of a 5 star rating. :)

We went into the movie without too many expectations since we didn't see any trailers beforehand. But left feeling really good. It was very inspirational and emotional and the actors did an amazing job.

Amazing actors! Such a great endearing movie for all ages. I love movies that teach me and entertain me at the same time...Hidden Figures was definitely one of those movies!

It's Ok, I think the fact it is a true story of a good person is nice, but it is slow moving at times.

Oh my gosh!!! This is a movie you have to see!! It's so well done! You are caught right in the beginning ... never a moment that was wasted. I cheered, I wept, I got absolutely frustrated ... I can only IMAGINE what happened that wasn't shown. You will enjoy this movie ... see it!
