In 1975, filmmaker Michel Langlois, while working as a waiter at an inn in Charlevoix, struck up a friendship with Québécois novelist and poet Anne Hébert, who was there on vacation. They became close friends over those 20 days and stayed in touch afterwards. Hébert and Langlois wrote letters to each other after she had returned home. This film is a personal narration about the director’s encounter with the novelist and the memories that still haunt him.
