Traumatized and having frequent nightmares of his previous client, Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) tries to switch things up by going on a sabbatical, and for the first time, is imagining a life without being a bodyguard. However, his sabbatical comes to an abrupt end when he is approached by Darius' wife Sonia (Salma Hayek), asking for Michael's help in rescuing Darius from the mafia. Trying to leave the life of guns, killing, and bloodshed behind him, Michael now finds himself teaming up with Darius and his equally crazy wife, Sonia, as they try to save Europe from a vengeful and powerful zealot (Antonio Banderas).
