Kristofferson also appeared in Lone Star under John Sayles' direction and has since appeared in seven other films after being absent from the screen for a while. Expect the unexpected with this film as Sayles is anything but a conventional storyteller. His last film, Men With Guns, was almost entirely in Spanish.
