In the theatrical trailer for Call of the Forest: The Forgotten Wisdom of Trees, we open on Earth’s source of life, the sun, and switch to the leafy green images of the different trees that prosper from it. We then focus on elements of the larger ecosystem and forest these trees are a part of, which includes streams of water, animals and insects. Scientist and author Diana Beresford-Kroeger narrates and tells us about how the Earth and its forests are changing – disappearing. We are then shown various forests around the world and how communities strive to build their own. Other forest protectors discuss how people can build back the forests we’ve lost. Diana reminds us that we must take a cue from our ancestors and hear for ourselves the call of nature and its wisdom through the trees.
