'The Kindergarten Teacher' Trailer

In the trailer for The Kindergarten Teacher, Lisa Spinelli (Maggie Gyllenhaal) recognizes that one of her students, Jimmy (Parker Sevak) has an extraordinary mind and a gift for poetry. She calls him “a young Mozart” and has him recite his poems at a poetry reading. Jimmy’s father wants his son to have a normal life and refuses to nurture his gift, so Lisa takes it upon herself to do so by any means necessary. At the end of the trailer, Lisa has taken Jimmy away from his parents, and he asks into a phone, “Can you help me?”
