This Denver born, California raised Jan-Michael Vincent had a long B-grade career. In the '80s, he was a leading man heartthrob when he was cast in the starring role on the hit TV series Airwolf.

Jan-Michael Vincent was a two-time Golden Globe nominee, first in 1972 for his supporting role in the feature film Going Home (1971), then in 1984 for his role in the mini-series The Winds of War (1983).

In 1996 he was involved in a catastrophic car accident in 1996 from which he barely escaped with his life.

However, he returned to work on TV's Nash Bridges and said, "I've had a nice long rest. Now it's over."

He died of cardiac arrest at a North Carolina hospital on Feb. 10, 2019 at the age of 74.
