Buzz Lightyear (Chris Evans), the astronaut that inspired the toy, sets off through outer space after being stranded on a hostile planet with his crew for over a year. After falling through an unexpected portal during take-off, Buzz finds himself back on the hostile planet decades in the future. Alongside a robotic cat, Sox (Peter Sohn), the granddaughter of his old crewmate Izzy (Keke Palmer), and other unlikely recruits, Buzz must take down enemy robots while trying to find his way back to his crew through space and time.
