Born and raised in Langley, British Columbia, Amanda Crew began her professional acting career in Vancouver when she was cast as a series regular on the television series 15/Love. Crew went on to land the female lead of the CTV hit teen series Whistler, for which she received the Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series.

It wasn't long before Crew was filming supporting lead roles in New Line Cinema's Final Destination 3 and DreamWorks' She's the Man. A bigger break came her way when Crew landed her first leading role in the comedy Sex Drive, starring alongside James Marsden and Seth Green. She followed that up with a part, opposite Virginia Madsen and Elias Koteas, in the supernatural thriller The Haunting in Connecticut. She has also filmed the female lead in the independent feature Repeaters opposite Dustin Milligan. She then wen ton to star in Sisters & Brothers (2012), Jobs (2013) and Charlie Zone (2013). More recently, she starred in The Age of Adaline (2015) with Blake Lively and Harrison Ford, the sport drama Race (2016) with Stephan James and Jason Sudeikis, and the comedy Table 19 (2017) with Anna Kendrick.

Away from the world of acting, Crew enjoys spending time with her dog, has a strong interest in amateur photography and has been a vegan since 2007.
