Tom Holland has finally confirmed that he and Zendaya are married, though he's not saying much more than that.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day star appeared to reveal the news during a new interview with Esquire while discussing fake AI-generated wedding photos that falsely claimed the couple had married in Lake Como, Italy.
Holland recalled that his grandmother was briefly fooled by the images and worried she hadn't been invited to the wedding. When Esquire asked whether any other friends or family had believed the photos, Holland paused before replying, "No, because they were all there."
When pressed for more details about the couple's private wedding, the actor smiled and said, "That's all you'll get on that."
The comment marks the first time Holland has publicly confirmed that he and Zendaya have tied the knot, following months of speculation. Rumors intensified in March when Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, told Access Hollywood, "The wedding has already happened. You missed it. It's very true." Zendaya has also been spotted wearing a gold wedding band alongside her engagement ring.
While promoting The Drama earlier this year, Zendaya playfully dodged questions about the rumors during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, joking that she hadn't seen any reports claiming the pair were already married. She has also spoken about why she and Holland choose to keep their relationship largely private, explaining that they prefer to preserve parts of their lives for themselves and their loved ones.
Although Holland remained tight-lipped about the ceremony, he was happy to gush about his wife in the Esquire interview.
"She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I ever have been when I'm with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period," he said.
The newlyweds are set to spend much of the summer promoting their upcoming films, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where they reprise their roles as Peter Parker and MJ, and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. ~Megan Parsons
