Last Place in Orlando to Watch a New Movie and Snack on Popcorn for Under $10

August 03, 2019

Twenty years ago, there were five or six $2 admission first-run movie theaters in Orlando. This is now the only one left. Not coincidentally, I go here about once a month to watch movies, while all the other movie theaters charging $10-$15, I only visit about once every six months. This theater is great for everybody on a budget, which includes every working person in Orlando. They always have a good selection of new films presenting them one to four months after they open at other movie theaters. I no longer feel that need to see the latest smash hit billion-dollar movie the weekend it opens. Most of the time, they are not as good as the movies I saw in the 1960s and 70s, 50+ years ago, nor are they as good as the movies from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s that I stream almost every night on my big-screen television. Everybody's nice, the movies start on time, and the popcorn is delicious. I appreciate that this movie theater allows my wife and I to continue my lifelong pleasure at watching movies at a movie theater. Go and enjoy.

LOVE This Theater

March 18, 2021

I have been visiting this theater for 20 years and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly, the prices are GREAT and it is always a fun experience. My family and I try to visit once a month. Even if it is a movie that we have seen a thousand times, it is always fun to see it on the big screen!

Female teenage manager [brunette] was the WORST

October 14, 2017

Altamonte Springs Florida 10-13-17 Female teenage manager [brunette] was the WORST. She was snippy with my 5-year-old nephew, caused us to miss the first 30 minutes of our movie, and gave me the worst customer service I’ve ever received. Actually, wrote a complaint to corporate for the first time in my life!

New policy won't allow backpacks....

October 25, 2018

I don't own a car and I travel by public bus. I use a backpack to carry my school books, a change of clothes and an umbrella. About 5 years ago, AMC put a policy forbidding backpacks due to a shooting. They never announced it and I was humiliated in front of other customers for carrying a backpack. I have never returned. Now, I had to catch 2 buses to come to Picture Show, just to find out backpacks are forbidden. Five years later! I've been coming to Picture Show for years without a problem. The manager said it was a new corporate policy for "security." Maybe you should post it on your website. This "security" policy will affect your movie-goers, not the wacko, who will commit acts of violence regardless of your "security" measures. I will not be returning and I will let everyone know not to come to Picture Show, since they have this new discriminatory policy.
